How should increasingly capable AI systems account for the long-term stewardship of the Earth systems that underpin human civilization?
As AI becomes increasingly capable, it will shape the ecological, economic, and institutional systems that underpin life on Earth. Earth Alignment is a research initiative exploring how stewardship of those systems can become an explicit consideration in AI objectives, evaluation, governance, and alignment research.
